Ask…

Have you ever been asked by someone for help with something? How did you feel? Chances are you felt honoured. You had been recognised for having experience, expertise, or knowledge in the particular area.

So, why do we often withdraw from asking. Fear of judgement? Fear of rejection? Damage to ego or pride? The reason(s) will likely vary depending on the person and situation.

Recently I have found myself on both sides of the coin. Realising that I can’t possibly know everything, I need the help from those around me; meanwhile also being in a position that I can help many others.

It goes hand in hand, the effort and energy in each direction bounces back. As we cannot live by solely giving or taking.

The next time you get stuck, have a think of who not how. Chances are they will be honoured to be involved and help you move the needle.
